Why send someone on a holiday?

Death is intense so sometimes it's good to step away, clear your head, and come back feeling a bit refreshed. Sending someone on holiday while they're grieving is kind of like hitting the pause button during a tough time.

Change of scenery

When you're grieving, you're often surrounded by constant reminders of the person you've lost, especially at home. Going on holiday takes you out of that environment for a bit, giving you new surroundings and a break from those reminders.

Time to reflect

Being in a different place can give you the space to think and process your feelings. It's like stepping out of the busy noise of your regular life to find a quiet spot where you can sort through your thoughts.

Relax and distraction

When you're grieving, having moments where you can unwind or be distracted by enjoyable activities can be really helpful. It doesn't mean you forget your loss, but it helps to have times when you're not consumed by it.
